Interpack 2011 – remarkable success
Weyhmüller and Rissen received acclaim from all sides at their first mutual exhibition appearance!
Many Weyhmüller and Rissen customers and interested parties visited our first mutual stand since the takeover in November 2010 with hard and fast questions. Their interest was, of course, initially in new products such as the re-closable “Paper Bottle” – standard PE screw closure at the top and below a body of PE laminate to suit the barrier necessities. Designed in “product families” these bottles can be manufactured in sizes from 250 to 1000ml.
Over and above which, many questions in regard to the fusion of the two companies as well as future plans could be answered.
A fusion with strong synergy effects that was closely followed worldwide
At the end of 2010, Weyhmüller took over the packaging specialist RSE Rissen Service + Engineering in its entirety. After many years of trustful cooperation regarding punching and cone winding technology for the ice cream industry, we took over the packaging specialist RSE Rissen Service + Engineering ltd. in its entirety at the end of 2010. With approx. 1400 installed machine respectively, this was a fusion with strong synergy effects that was closely followed worldwide, and from which our customers in particular greatly profit. By combining our strengths in a company with more than 50 employees, we
- can more easily finance new developments and successfully introduce them onto the market,
- offer an even more extensive product range and provide our customers worldwide with increased local and on-site service
- and in addition to our main headquarters in Neu-Ulm in southern Germany, we also have a second company headquarters in the north in Wedel near Hamburg.

A few weeks ago we extended the surface of our workshop for the machine assembly as well as the shelf system in our factory in Wedel. This allows us to work on several machines at the same time.
